Important Notice: Introduction of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for All Users
To strengthen the security of eMedical, Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA) has been introduced for all users effective 22 June 2026.
MFA adds a simple extra step during login by sending a 6-digit code to the user’s registered email address.
Action Required
All users must complete the steps below to avoid login issues:
- Check their email address in eMedical is correct and accessible
- Whitelist / safe‑list: noreply.emedical@homeaffairs.gov.au
- Ensure users can easily access their email account when logging in to eMedical
Important: MFA has now been rolled out, if users cannot receive the MFA email with the 6-digit code, they will not be able to log in.
